Snowmobile Trail Conditions Report for The Forks Maine ITS Trail System

The Forks Trail Report updated April 8, 2008

That's it for grooming operations for the season! There is still a deep snowpack, and most sections of the trail system are still rideable. There is a lot of bare ground on ITS 86 around Mosquito Mountain, due to thin cover from plowing earlier in the season. Also getting pretty scratchy right in town. Power Lines are still ok, as is the Brochu Road. Still plenty of snow on the Pleasant Pond Trail, as well as ITS 87. And there should be great off trail riding for another couple of weeks. Good off trail areas are off ITS 87 on the east side of Moxie Lake and around Bald Mountain. There's also a ton of snow around Moxie Mountain.

Thanks to all who visited The Forks this winter. Let's hope we can put a string of these snowy winters together!
