Self-Guided Float Trips: Fun For Everyone
Spend A Classic Summer Afternoon Floating Down The Gentle Class I-II Lower Kennebec River in Maine.
This self-guided trip starts at the take-out of the main Kennebec River rafting trip, below all the major rapids of the Upper and Lower Kennebec sections. You can rent easy-to-paddle inflatable kayaks and you enjoy the 5-mile section of the river below The Forks, where the river meanders at a much slower pace. The Float Trip is an ideal activity for those who want to spend an afternoon drifting carefree with their friends or splashing around with the family. An easy introduction to Maine Rivers
