2014 Untamed New England Adventure Race

June 17-22, 2014 The Return of the World Class Untamed New England Adventure Race!

In partnership with the
Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) and the Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS), Untamed Adventure Racing announces their 2014 expedition race will be the "100 Mile Wilderness" edition based in the central Maine highlands.

Returning to western Maine for the second time is one of the world's best Adventure races, a fully sanctioned ARWS series multi-day event with Northern Outdoors supporting the race as the host resort, with expert staff, logistics and deep knowledge of adventure in "the Maine woods!".  In 2012 Northern Outdoors hosted the world class international adventure race called Untamed New England from our resort center in The Forks, Maine. It was an exceptional event, with incredible athletes and tremendous community support.

Wabanaki Indians called this territory the "Dawn Lands" and it served as their ancestral home. In June 2014, adventure racers will tackle a remote course of mountains, rivers, and forests through the "Dawn Lands" and experience an expedition of a lifetime.

Your Family Package was a great way to introduce our two suburban, TV loving children to the wonders of Maine. And, it didn't hurt that the whitewater rafting was more exciting than any theme park ride! Our family will definitely be back.
