8th OPENING DAY RAFTING SEASON: 1ST SCHEDULED
RELEASE ON THE DEAD RIVER
The official start of Northern Outdoors’ summer season and the first high-water dam release on the Dead River. This release offers big thrills and non-stop action as the river flows at a heart pounding 7,000 cubic feet per second! This water level is for aggressive participants!

9th KENNEBEC RIVER SEASON OPENER & MOTHERS
DAY SPECIAL.
First day of guided rafting trips on this classic Maine River.
Springtime runoff and smaller Kennebec River Rafting Maine Northern Outdoors crowds make opening day a great time to raft the Kennebec with Northern Outdoors.

15th SCHEDULED RELEASE ON THE DEAD RIVER: 2ND RELEASE
The second of 10 dam releases on the Dead River this season. Spring runoff will have the river flowing at an amazing 7,000 cubic feet per second. Reserve a spot early, as these popular trips fill up fast. This water level is for aggressive participants!

15th WORLD CLASS BASS FISHING OPENS:

14th KIDS' RAFT HALF PRICE MIDWEEK SPECIAL:

Starting June 14th, children age 8 to 15 can raft the Kennebec for 1/2 price Monday through Friday and kids aged 15 to 18 can raft the Penobscot for 1/2 price Monday through Friday. Offer is good through the end of August and is a great way to get out and experience the beauty of Maine with the kids, at a reduced price.

19th MAXIMUM MAGIC: 1ST KENNEBEC HIGH WATER RELEASE!
Join us for this first of four special dam releases as the Kennebec will be flowing at nearly DOUBLE its normal volume. This is an aggressive, high adventure trip and only those with a “go for it” attitude should apply. In the evening listen to live music from one of western Maine's most popular local bands.

20th FATHER’S DAY:
Dad's Raft for FREE on Father's Day (1 dad per full paying guest). Spend quality time in the outdoors with your dad. There's nothing better than some father and son rafting to bring you closer together all topped of with handcrafted beers and hearty food at The Kennebec River Pub & Brewery.

3-5th FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND:
Come to Northern Outdoors and celebrate your independence from another typical Fourth of July. Spend a day on the river with friends and family before returning to Northern Outdoors for a cook-out dinner, slide show, and a hand crafted Kennebec River Brewery Ale.

5th MAXXIMUM MAGIC: 2ND KENNEBEC HIGH WATER RELEASE!
Join us for the second of four special dam releases on the Kennebec River on Monday July 5th. High water will have the Kennebec flowing at nearly DOUBLE its normal volume. Spaces are limited on these aggressive, high adventure trips so early reservations are recommended.

August 2010

Known among whitewater enthusiasts as one of the most exciting raft trips in New England, a high water day on the Dead is not to be missed. Make reservations early as spots are limited and disappear fast! Today's scheduled release is 3,500CFS. If you're looking for the ultimate adventure raft the TRIPLE CROWN - three rivers in three days.

23th BEAT THE BACK TO SCHOOL AND COLLEGE BLUES:
This is the last full week for children age 8 to 15 to raft the Kennebec for 1/2 price Monday through Friday and for older kids 15 to 18 to raft the Penobscot for 1/2 price. Offer is good through the end of August and is a great way to get out and experience the beauty of Maine as a family, at a reduced price.

25th MAXXIMUM MAGIC: FINAL KENNEBEC HIGH WATER RELEASE
This will be the final Maximum Magic dam release of the 2010 whitewater season. Make reservations early for this special, high adventure trip. The Kennebec will be running at nearly DOUBLE its normal volume, so grab a paddle and hold on tight!

Maine Dead River Rafting Northern Outdoors

Today marks the last dam release on the Dead River for the 2010 season. Set against a backdrop of brilliant fall foliage and flowing at up to 6000 cubic feet per second, this trip is sure to be one of the most spectacular of the season!
