8th OPENING DAY RAFTING SEASON: 1ST SCHEDULED
RELEASE ON THE DEAD RIVER
The official start of Northern Outdoors’ summer season and the first high-water dam release on the Dead River. This release offers big thrills and non-stop action as the river flows at a heart pounding 7,000 cubic feet per second! This water level is for aggressive participants!
9th KENNEBEC RIVER SEASON OPENER & MOTHERS
DAY SPECIAL.
First day of guided rafting trips on this classic Maine River.
Springtime runoff and smaller
crowds make opening day a great time to raft the Kennebec with Northern Outdoors.
15th SCHEDULED RELEASE ON THE DEAD RIVER: 2ND RELEASE
The second of 10 dam releases on the Dead River this season. Spring runoff will have the river flowing at an amazing 7,000 cubic feet per second. Reserve a spot early, as these popular trips fill up fast. This water level is for aggressive participants!

Today's scheduled release is 3,500CFS. If you've never rafted the Dead River and want to try it at a less intimidating level, today is your day.
14th KIDS' RAFT HALF PRICE MIDWEEK SPECIAL:
Starting June 14th, children age 8 to 15 can raft the Kennebec for 1/2 price Monday through Friday and kids aged 15 to 18 can raft the Penobscot for 1/2 price Monday through Friday. Join us for the second of four special dam releases on the Kennebec River on Monday July 5th. High water will have the Kennebec flowing at nearly DOUBLE its normal volume. Spaces are limited on these aggressive, high adventure trips so early reservations are recommended.

This is the last full week for children age 8 to 15 to raft the Kennebec for 1/2 price Monday through Friday and for older kids 15 to 18 to raft the Penobscot for 1/2 price.
