Oktober Fest Adds Spice to Maine Adventure Vacations

Kennebec River Brewery LogoOktoberfest for 2010 takes place at Northern Outdoors on October 2 and celebrates the last run of the year for Dead River rafting.  This 2010 final release on the Dead River caps a season of great Maine whitewater rafting on this unique and challenging river.

After a day of running long rapids, return to the resort and settle in for great eats at the BBQ cookout after the trip.  Then enjoy dancing to the live music of Mumbasue with $3.00 pints of fresh Kennebec River Brewery Beer — featuring the aptly named Octoberfest Brew.  Our biermeister, Mike, will even take folks on a How’s This Great Beer Made Anyway? tour of the brewery.

What’s that Octcoberfest taste like anyway? Well, we discribe it this way: An American style Octoberfest lager with semi-sweet maltiness and a slight toasty flavor. Unlike its German counterpart, our Octoberfest has a clean, crisp hop bitterness adds nice balance.  Sounds different because it is.
