Hats off to The Forks Maine snowmobiling groomers and trailcrews

The Forks Maine Snowmobiling is about to kick off, with a nice storm last week and some uber clearing work that had to be done!

A BIG THANK YOU to all the groomers and trail crews that have been working overtime to clean up the trails from last week’s storm. Here’s a photo looking from the snowmobile trail at Pleasant Pond this weekend. Yep, the trail is BEHIND all those trees.

As we get set to open for the season on December 26th, 2014 it looks as if we’re in for an early season weather roller coaster as we switch between heavy snow last week to soaking rains today.

Hopefully, the warm temps won’t eat into the substantial base that is out there now. Once we get through the next couple of days we’re watching some early forecasts for the return of more snow and colder temps around the first of the year, which should put us back in great shape for January riding.

We will be sure to update the Northern Outdoors Trails Conditions Report for The Forks Maine snowmobiling. The weekly report covers  The Forks Area Trail Network as our season unfolds.
