Maine Vacations The Way They Are Meant To Be: Affordable and Authentic
Founded in 1976, Northern Outdoors is in the center of Western Maine's wilderness playground. Enjoy Maine year-round with exceptional winter snowmobiling and summer white water rafting, hiking, and ATVing vacations. Our comfortable Adventure Resort in The Forks, Maine includes trailside and lakeside cabins and riverside campsites.
#1 Question On The Phones This Week:
“So how are the trails in The Forks?”
Answer:
Although we haven’t see any significant snow in over 10-days there's enjoyable riding north of Berry's Store in West Forks on ITS 89 towards Jackman and the border and on ITS 86 towards Rockwood and up to Pittston Farm. There's good riding on ITS 86 from Moxie Lake heading east towards Greenville.
We are recommending riders trailer 5 - 8 miles north of the lodge to The Forks or Moxie Lake and ride the higher elevations where there is still decent snow cover. Click here for most recent Trail Conditions Report
