Operators are responsible for all damage costs. A damage deposit of $1,000 is required for each rental snowmobile. Renters can add insurance for $40 per day to reduce damage deposit to $500 which adds collision coverage on day of rental.
Renters will be required to supply a damage deposit of $1000 per machine on the day of the rental (preauthorization on VISA or MasterCard); renters will be responsible for any and all damages to the rental machine up to the replacement cost which could be as much as $15,000. There is no insurance coverage included in the base rental for damage to the rental machine, other property damage, or medical costs.
On the day of the rental renters may purchase insurance for damage to the machine with a reduced damage deposit of $500 (deductible) for an additional $40 per machine. This optional insurance covers all damage to the rental snowmobile above the damage deposit and provides no additional coverage
Maine has a very strict OUI law for snowmobile operators. Anyone under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or demonstrating unruly behavior, will be denied services without refund.
Northern Outdoors reserves the right to cancel or alter snowmobile rentals or guided tours due to inclement weather, foreseeable hazards, insufficient bookings, or circumstances beyond our control. Full refunds or alternate dates will be offered in this unlikely event.
