Home to our Katahdin Adventure Base Camp during summer only, Big Moose Inn offers a wide variety of lodging for individuals and groups rafting the Penobscot River, hiking in Baxter State Park, and exploring the Katahdin region Big Moose has inn suites with private baths, inn rooms with shared baths, lakeside cabins, trail side cabins, and a wooded campground. Frederica’s Restaurant and the Loose Moose Bar & Grille are located on-site, offering casual fine dining and pub fare, local craft beer, select wine, and cocktails. Golden Road Crossing is located next door, ensuring easy access to last minute needs such as beer, gas, snacks, and more!
Inn Suites & Rooms
The suites have their own private bath and queen size beds. The Inn guest rooms share 3 baths. Guest rooms are the original rooms that were built for the river drivers who first occupied the Inn.

Lakeside and Trailside Cabins
Trailside cabins include private bathrooms, and lakeside cabins include a detached private bathroom. Cabins sleep between 2-22 people and have a variety of twin, bunk, full, and queen size beds.
