Ride your ATV, UTV, or side by side through gorgeous Maine forests all day long and depart right from the convenience of your cozy Maine cabin or a riverside RV site. Northern Outdoors Adventure Resort, located in The Forks area of western Maine, gives you direct access to thousands of miles of great trails. We have late model Polaris ATV rentals on site with a fleet of machines, from high performance single rider quads to comfortable two seater side-by-sides to “bring the whole family” four seater UTVs.
Details on Resort and Season:
- Trails generally open Memorial Day Weekend through mid October
- Current Status: CLOSED for the season – visit Lake Moxie ATV Riders page for trail updates.
- Direct ATV, SxS and UTV trail access–right from your cabin door or campsite
- Late model Polaris ATV and SxS rentals available on-site
- Plenty of secure parking for trucks and trailers with trail access
- On-site premium non-ethanol fuel for sale
- Water hose for a post-ride rinse of your ATV, SxS or UTV
- Restaurant, brewery, swimming pool, giant outdoor hot tub… everything you need to kick back after a day on the trails!
- Best time to ride? Fall! But we do have cabins available nightly May through October. Weekend cabin rentals during peak season (6/27/25-9/1/25) need to be book alongside a full day activity, including ATV rental or whitewater rafting trip.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Dirt bikes are not permitted at Northern Outdoors due to landowner restrictions on local area trails.

ATVing Spring to Fall
