Not only was it an amazing experience rafting but the food and hospitality was 6 star! 4 1/2 hours away had better food than some places in Boston!
Great beer at their Brewery!
Staff was great all around never had felt so welcome anywhere like this. An absolute must go!

Northern Outdoors rafting was an absolutely incredible experience, and our guide Erik made the trip!
I was honestly terrified going into our first rafting day, but Erik answered every one of my questions, explained what to expect, and immediately made me feel comfortable. My husband and I and some of our more timid friends did the regular rafting day, and then my husband went back for the high-water day. What impressed us most was how skilled Erik was at tailoring the experience to the group. On our day, he somehow managed to give us the “Cadillac ride” while still making it thrilling. Then on the high-water day, he gave the adrenaline junkies exactly the gnarly ride they were looking for.
We had SO much fun. Erik is incredibly skilled with the boat, and even when things got exciting, I always felt safe. He’s also extremely knowledgeable about the river and the surrounding area, and you can tell he genuinely loves what he does and wants everyone in his raft to love the experience too. His approach was the perfect combination of being completely focused on safety while still keeping everything fun and relaxed.
And as a bonus, his commentary during the post-rafting slide show was absolutely hilarious.
If you’re considering rafting with Northern Outdoors, do it — and if you can get Erik as your guide, even better. He turned something I was genuinely afraid to do into the highlight of our trip. Five stars all around!

Incredible rafting experience, followed up with good beer and pub food. The staff was all friendly and helpful from the rafting guide to the bartenders and waitresses. The onsite amenities from the fire pit to hot tub/pool, and cornhole were all excellent. The rooms were clean with plenty of towels, blankets, and dishware. Not much more we could have asked for. Our group is already planning the next trip.

Nothing but great things to say about the lodging and staff. We stayed in a Cozy Cabin for 5 nights. It was very clean and even quieter. Looking forward to returning.

We recently stayed at Northern Outdoors during our snowmobiling trip, and it was a fantastic experience. The cabins were comfortable, cozy, and exactly what we needed after a day of riding. Each evening, it was great to come back to such welcoming accommodations.
The restaurant at Northern Outdoors offered delicious meals, and the friendly staff made dining there even more enjoyable. Everyone we interacted with was helpful, welcoming, and genuinely made us feel at home.
Overall, Northern Outdoors provided excellent accommodations, great food, and outstanding service. Highly recommended for anyone planning a trip in the area. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit!

Located in the heart of Maine, the dream place for peace of mind for river descent, snowmobiling and especially off-roading. Whirlpool bath to relax with everything within reach. The staff really deserves 5 stars for their good humor, their respect and their good manners. Thank you Northern Outdoors for welcoming your new and returning customers. 🙂

Great accommodations, fantastic staff, soaking in the hot tub while it's snowing, I mean come on. All around can't beat it. We've tried over the past 20 years and just keep coming back. Well done.

Love staying at Northern Outdoors in the Forks. All the staff is so friendly and on top of any problem. We got to our room and for some reason the heat wasn't working after I called the front desk with in 15min the maintenance guys came up and gave us 2 space heaters which was more than enough to keep the room at 70. Can't wait to stay there again in 26

We stayed for two nights . Rented snowmobiles and went to Greenville . Great time. Room was good, I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the needed hot shower wouldn’t drain so we ended up standing in still water. Hopefully it was fixed for the next guests! Other than that everyone is super friendly, good beer!
