Book a Registered Maine Guide to get the most out of your time – whether you’re new to riding and want tips and tricks along the way, or you’re an experienced rider and want help navigating to the best local spots! Our Registered Maine Guides will plan a route for you, leading you to the top riding destinations such as Grand Falls, Coburn Mountain, or the Bingham Windmill Farm. Looking for a multi-day tour? Northern Outdoors has partnered with Tea Ponds Camps for a Lodge-To-Lodge self-guided tour.

Guided Half Day Tour
  • Half Day 8:30am-12:30pm or 12:30pm-4:30pm. Meet at 8:00am or 12:00pm.

  • Group of up to 5 Snowmobiles: $200

  • Half-day tours are available with snowmobile rental or bring your own.

Guided Full Day Tour
  • Full Day 8:30am-4:30pm. Meet at 8:00am

  • Group of up to 5 Snowmobiles: $300

  • Guided tours are available with snowmobile rental or bring your own.


Full-day tours include a customized tour plan based on your group members’ experience and include a stop for lunch. The cost of lunch is not included in the tour price.

Self Guided Snowmobile Tours

The Maine trail system is well known for being easy to navigate, with well signed trails, a local trail map updated each year, and a long list of local recommended rides. Ride directly from Northern Outdoors’ main lodge with your snowmobile rental or from your trailside cabin, and connect to Maine’s Interconnecting Trail System.Pick up The Forks Area Trails Club map, available in the Northern Outdoors lodge for a small donation to the club.
