Join our dynamic Reservations and Guest Services team at Northern Outdoors, where you will play a pivotal role in assisting guests to plan and book their vacations with us. This multifaceted position combines front desk operations, retail sales, and exceptional customer service in a bustling lodge environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented, enthusiastic individual with a passion for sales and a dedication to creating memorable guest experiences. Bus Driver

Seeking mature and responsible individual to join our team as a full time seasonal bus driver in Millinocket, Maine! Spend your days along the scenic Penobscot River in Baxter State Park as you shuttle rafters to and from the river trip. Typical day is 7am-3pm, and season is May 25th – September 2nd, 2024, with some flexibility for start/end dates depending on your availability. Position is a set schedule, with trips running Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Apply at link below!

Job Requirements:

25 or older
Clean driving record
Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a P or SCHOOL BUS endorsement.
Ability to walk short distances on uneven terrain

Pay: Starting at $18/hour. Position also includes riverside BBQ lunch (steak, chicken, salmon or veggie burger) daily.

Servers, Bartenders | Kennebec River Pub & Brewery

Kennebec River Brewery at Northern Outdoors is seeking qualified individuals to join our Front of House team- bartenders, servers, host(ess). Start date is flexible, with openings starting in May. Full time, part time, and seasonal positions available, along with weekday and/or weekend shifts. Employee discounts plus competitive pay commensurate with experience. Year round, full time employees eligible for commission, matching company IRA, and PTO after vesting period.

Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide

**Guide training is full for 2024. Interested applicants are welcome to apply and be put on a waitlist.**

Northern Outdoors runs a Guide Training Program in May where you can learn the skills and techniques to navigate three of the top whitewater rivers in the USA.

The 2024 dates for the Kennebec River guide training: Sunday, May 19th – Sunday, May 26th.
The 2024 dates for the Penobscot River guide training: End of June 2024, exact dates TBD.
Applications should be received no later than April 15th, 2024.
The cost of the program is $300 ($400 if you need first aid and CPR certification).

Great summer job for teachers, college students, or anyone looking for a career in the hospitality or adventure tourism industry. Rafting season is May to October. Full and part time opportunities. Must be 21 years of age. Learn more about Whitewater Raft Guide Training.

Current Openings for Spring/Summer 2024

Video Kayaker

Must be comfortable and capable in Class IV-V whitewater. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to paddle! Accompany our daily rafting adventures, shoot raw footage, edit and score. A great personality and an imaginative mind are essential. Technical knowledge of video equipment would help, but we can easily train the right person. Competitive pay is available, depending on experience. 21 or older. Positions run from late April to early October. Combine a season video boating with time on the river guiding, for a great summer on Maine’s whitewater rivers.

Line Cook | Kennebec River Pub & Brewery

Full time or part time, year round or seasonal positions at our brewpub in The Forks, Maine at Northern Outdoors! Be part of a team providing a delicious menu to guests in a fun and professional atmosphere. We’re looking for Back of House team members – line / prep cook, assistant cook. Hours are somewhat flexible, but include morning shifts, day shifts, night shifts, and weekends. Employee discounts plus competitive pay commensurate with experience.
