Join our dynamic Reservations and Guest Services team at Northern Outdoors, where you will play a pivotal role in assisting guests to plan and book their vacations with us. This multifaceted position combines front desk operations, retail sales, and exceptional customer service in a bustling lodge environment. We are seeking a detail-oriented, enthusiastic individual with a passion for sales and a dedication to creating memorable guest experiences. Ideal candidate is looking for full time, year round employment, but all applications will be considered.

Housekeeping

Northern Outdoors is looking for part time and/or full time (20-40 hours/week) Housekeepers to join our team. As a housekeeper, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a clean and welcoming atmosphere for our guests after their exciting days of rafting, snowmobiling, and exploring Maine’s wilderness. We are seeking candidates who are team players with a strong attention to detail. Applicants should have a current driver’s license and be able to work most Sundays. On-site housing is a potential for the right candidate!

Servers, Bartenders | Kennebec River Pub & Brewery

Kennebec River Brewery at Northern Outdoors is seeking qualified individuals to join our Front of House team- bartenders, servers, host(ess).  Start date is end of December/January. Full time, part time, and seasonal positions available, along with weekday and/or weekend shifts. Employee discounts plus competitive pay commensurate with experience. Line Cook | Kennebec River Pub & Brewery

Full time or part time, year round or seasonal positions at our brewpub in The Forks, Maine at Northern Outdoors! Be part of a team providing a delicious menu to guests in a fun and professional atmosphere. We’re looking for Back of House team members – line / prep cook, assistant cook. Hours are somewhat flexible, but include morning shifts, day shifts, night shifts, and weekends. Employee discounts plus competitive pay commensurate with experience. Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide

Northern Outdoors runs a Guide Training Program in May where you can learn the skills and techniques to navigate three of the top whitewater rivers in the USA.

  • The 2025 dates for the Kennebec River guide training: Sunday, May 18th – Sunday, May 25th.
  • The 2025 dates for the Penobscot River guide training: End of June 2025, exact dates TBD.
  • Applications should be received no later than April 15th, 2025.
  • The cost of the program is $300 ($400 if you need first aid and CPR certification).

Great summer job for teachers, college students, or anyone looking for a career in the hospitality or adventure tourism industry. Rafting season is May to October. Full and part time opportunities. Must be 21 years of age.

Video Kayaker

Must be comfortable and capable in Class IV-V whitewater. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to paddle! Accompany our daily rafting adventures, shoot raw footage, edit and score. A great personality and an imaginative mind are essential. Technical knowledge of video equipment would help, but we can train the right person. 21 or older. Position aligns with Maine Whitewater Rafting Guide position and runs from late May through mid October.
