Registered Maine Whitewater Rafting Guides

Northern Outdoors runs a Guide Training Program in early May and late June where you can learn the skills and techniques to navigate three of the top whitewater rivers in the USA.

The 2010 Whitewater Guide Training Program will be run early May 20th - 27th, 2010. Applications should be received by April 18th, 2010. The cost of the program is $200 ($260 with first aid and cpr certificate).

Great job for teachers, college students, or anyone looking for a career in the hospitality or adventure tourism industry. Rafting season is May to October. Full and part time opportunities. Must be 21 years of age. For more details contact Greg Caruso or call 800-765-7238.

Video Kayakers

Must be comfortable and capable in Class IV-V whitewater. This is a great opportunity for someone who loves to paddle! Accompany our daily rafting adventures, shoot raw footage, edit and score. A great personality and an imaginative mind are essential. Technical knowledge of video equipment would help, but we can easily train the right person. Pay is $70 to $90 per day, depending on experience. 18 or older. Positions run from late April to early October. Contact Greg Caruso or call 800-765-7238. 

The Kennebec River Pub and Brewery

Several year-round and seasonal positions are available in our high volume restaurant and brewpub at The Forks Resort Center. Positions we're currently hiring for include: cooks, wait staff, bartenders and dishwashers. Pay is based on position and experience. Contact Kevin Foss or call 800-765-7238. 

Sales/Guest Services

A friendly and energetic personality is needed for these positions, in a fast paced environment. Involves all aspects of guest services: telephone inquiries and sales, guest check-ins, retail sales, typing and filing. Computer and sales experience is a plus, but we can train. Bus Drivers

Full and part-time positions available for drivers for our various adventures. Seeking mature, responsible and hard working individuals. Must be 21 and have a clean driving record. Must have a Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with a P or SCHOOL BUS endorsement. Good physical shape is needed as these positions involve some moderately heavy lifting and carrying.
