What type of guiding do you do? Whitewater Rafting, Hunting

What do you enjoy most about working at Northern Outdoors?
Besides meeting all kinds of different people to guide down 3 different rivers, I’d have to say seeing the look on satisfied customers faces when we prepare them our famous riverside lunch! Being able to provide customers with a hot meal along side of the river is a beautiful thing!

What is your favorite river to guide, and your favorite rapid on that river?
The Kennebec on a high water release day and running Maytag!

What’s your classic Northern Outdoors memory?
Level 2 guide training on the Penobscot. Being able to view Katahdin everyday as we learned to navigate such a technical river was exhilarating.

Where do you adventure when you are not working?
My family camp on the South Branch. There’s always something to do there whether it’s fishing, doing projects on the camp and exploring a new hunting spot.

What do you do in the off-season when you’re not guiding for Northern Outdoors?
I’m a tribal Passamaquoddy revenue moose hunting guide- hitting the woods with my daughter and scouting for moose and deer for our next hunt. I also like to help out my mother at my family’s Native American arts & crafts shop in Sipayik.

Tell us about any certifications, special talents, guide awards.
Registered Maine Guide School Cert
Level 2 whitewater guides license

Fave beverage after a day on the river?
Lemonade, splash of cranberry juice, and a lime!
