Whether it’s after a day rafting the Kennebec or snowmobiling through Maine’s woods, nothing beats a tasty, handcrafted beer. Kennebec River Pub serves up some amazing beer and food, all in an atmosphere that welcomes everyone like a regular.
We vacationed Friday to Monday and stayed in the Baxter lakeside house. What a beautiful location. The owners at the lodge were so friendly !!! We rented their kayaks for the day on Saturday which was so awesome! Sunday we white water rafted.
All in all, another fantastic trip (this makes 9 now). The girls have a new found respect for the trip the dads go on annually and want to go and do them now too. Onto the Dead in 2014 for the girls and the dads will hit the Kennebec Turbine Test again – maybe this time we wont flip on Maytag

But from the moment we arrived, everything went great. You guys really have everything planned out well, from the daily schedule to the transportation to the river to the fantastic lunch we had during our rafting trip! Our guide was Brent, who was awesome! This is our family’s second rafting trip, and it far surpassed our first trip. So glad we found your company on line and decided to book our rafting trip and two night stay in your lodgominiums.
We have been up to Northern Outdoors three times now. We have done everything from camp with Tents, used our RV/Horse Trailer, and rented their beautiful Town Houses overlooking a private pond. The Facilities are as good as they get for a adventure-focused operation. The main lodge has a HUGE hot tub, heated swimming pool (with indoor in-out for wintertime), and their own Brewery!
I want to take the time to thank Northern Outdoors and your staff. My family and I had a lot of fun and a great time. Your resort staff, guides, equipment, training, et. al., were just wonderful. My wife planned and scheduled the trip, and I reluctantly went along. But I can’t lie to you – your whitewater rafting excursion far exceeded all my expectations, and some.
My wife and I had a chance to stay at Northern Outdoors a couple of weeks ago and what a wonderful experience we enjoyed!!.We stayed in one of their rustic cabins which had all natural furniture to help set the relaxing mood for the weekend. We sat by the gas fireplace and watched the snow gently accumulate on the porch outside while we let the stress of the city life melt away with the warm glow of the peaceful Maine woods setting.
Last weekend we completed our third annual trip on the Kennebec Turbine release. Our group consensus—–best trip yet! At this point its no suprise to us that we are in for a great time.
