THE FORKS TRAILS UPDATE 2/28/2021

4 to 5 inches of snow last night was just what we needed.
We groomed last night, and got hit with the breakdown bug again, we got most of the system done before limping back.
Todays warm weather will be hard on the system and we won’t be grooming tonight due to the high temps.
The good news is it’s going to be really cold Monday night so trails should rebound.

THE FORKS TRAIL REPORT 2/25/2021

Northern Outdoors area received about 3″ on Monday night, with a few more inches expected in the coming days. We’ve seen warmer temps and high traffic, which just means trails get beat up quick. Try to refrain from night riding as much as possible to allow trails time to set up.  We had some mechanical issues with groomers early in the week, but two out of three are back up and running and we’ve been out grooming since then.

Trailmaster Report:
We sent two groomers out Wednesday night, and trails came out better than expected considering the warm spell. We will be out Thursday night grooming with both groomers as well. This weekend looks to be quite warm so trails will be soft.

ITS 87 Groomed and in good shape except for the woods areas, they are thin and rough. Just pretend you are a kid again bouncing around the yard and know good trails are just on the other side….

THE FORKS TRAIL REPORT 2/17/2021

Northern Outdoors area received 4-5″ of sleet/snow from Tuesday’s storm. Although a little less than what they had predicted (and what we were hoping for), it’s still a great snow for packing in any thin spots on an already great base. We’re eyeing another potential snow event coming Thursday/Friday, just in time to freshen it up again before the weekend! Groomers have been out nightly, and will continue to do so throughout the week/weekend. Trails are in great shape!

THE FORKS TRAIL REPORT 2/10/2021

We groomed the entire system Tuesday night and did some mogul work Wednesday in town and on ITS 87/86. The trails are in the best shape we have seen all season. We will be grooming the next four nights. Please use caution, lots of traffic out there this weekend with school vacations starting, lot of kids and families on the trails. In the woods it’s still thin and we still need more snow to work with. The cold temps have done wonders locking everything together. In-town The Forks is rough – need more snow.
