31 May Life Changing Adventure Trips: Acadia National Park to Northern Outdoors
“Many students say that this trip changes their lives, their career focus and inspires them to live differently.”
– Tiffany Rhodes, Assistant Professor, JWU Providence College of Hospitality Management
With winter and summer courses, custom designed by Northern Outdoors and Johnson & Wales (see more: college programs,) students have the opportunity to spend 8 days adventuring in Maine, — learning navigation skills, team building activities, and adventure resort management. Northern Outdoors’ guides lead students on rivers, mountains, ocean, and trails sharing their years of expertise and love of the Maine outdoors. For Maine Guides the outdoors is not just a career, it’s a way of life… or rather The Way Life Should Be.
Snapshots from the Johnson & Wales “Special Topics in Adventure Resort Management” course this week… hiking, biking and rock climbing in Acadia National Park to whitewater rafting, hiking and tackling the ropes course at Northern Outdoors. Thanks to guides Rob Starbird and Ashley Tempesta for their great leadership and photos!
“So amazed by this group of students! They continually strive to push themselves to new heights (both literally and figuratively!)” – Guide Ashley Tempesta
“Great group of future leaders! May the world be yours!” – Guide Rob Starbird
And how about some extra credit for Sierra Ali’s big smile and awesome shots?!
“I spent the last week up in The Forks, Maine for an Adventure Resort program with Northern Outdoors and other JWU students. Such a privilege to take part in such a cool week!” – Sierra Ali
JWU students, we hope to see you back in Maine leading outdoor adventures of your own!
