We had a great time rafting with Northern Outdoors however our trip didn’t go exactly as planned. This was our second time rafting and we had heard that the Penobscot was the best in New England, so when it came time to book the river selection seemed obvious!

I was placed in charge of planning Bachelor Party weekend for a group of 8 guys, with only one pre-requisite from the groom to be. He wanted to go White Water Rafting and he heard that Northern Outdoors was the best place to do it. Overall, great 36 hours were spent with NO again. Cabin was nice, rafting was great and all of the guides and support staff were awesome. Can’t wait to head back for a little daddy / daughter trip on the Kennebec later this year.
But from the moment we arrived, everything went great. You guys really have everything planned out well, from the daily schedule to the transportation to the river to the fantastic lunch we had during our rafting trip! I came up from MA with a group of six. Some seasoned rafters and some new. Our guide was Zach and from the start we all felt really comfortable as he seemed like a very seasoned guide. We expected a professional and safe experience because one member of our group was a former employee and Kennebec rafting vet (she recommended Northern).

My husband and I came up on Friday afternoon with another couple. Due to us booking late and limited availability, we stayed in a lakeside cabin for 12 people on Friday, then had to check out and into the Lodge on Saturday. This turned out great because we would never have booked a cabin for 12 people when it was only 4 of us! Now we KNOW that we LOVE the cabin and we will be back next year with more friends and rent the cabin!
