What do you enjoy most about working at Northern Outdoors?
How friendly and welcoming everyone has been here. Entering the lodge feels like returning home and everyone at Northern Outdoors has become my big rafting family.
What is your favorite river to guide, and your favorite rapid on that river?
Big Mama on the Kennebec, especially on high water days!
What’s your classic Northern Outdoors memory?
Getting launched out of my boat at Maytag @ 8k CFS.
Where do you adventure when you are not working?
You can find me hiking to the numerous waterfalls in the area, cooking up some food in guide city, or going for a play run on the river.
What do you do in the off-season when you’re not guiding for Northern Outdoors?
I’ve been a science teacher and educator for the past 6 years. I built a campervan in 2021 and have been living in it full time while traveling the country. I taught at schools in the Boston area and have also worked at a couple of science museums in California. I’m hoping to travel more in the off-season again soon!

The Green River in Utah
